You can’t talk about summer without mentioning our beaches! And on the Bassin, there are two types: ocean beaches and inland beaches ! They’re all affected by the tides, of course, but there are a few differences!
At Bassin, enjoy calmer waters, perfect for family swims and relaxing by the water’s edge. At low tide,How close you are to the water will depend on where you are (and you might have to walk a bit to get to the beach). It’s also the perfect opportunity to discover our sandbanks, such as the one in Arcachon!
On the coast, the wide ocean beaches in La Teste-de-Buch and Lege-Cap Ferret offer the perfect playground for fans of surfing, bodyboarding or vast wilderness !
