Stroll along the pier, the longest in France


Take a walk along this 232 m long pier, camera in hand. Wander to the very end to admire the view of the pignots (sticks planted in the sea to delimit the oyster beds), boats, and observe the birds. Discover it also at sunset! Just next to the pier, stroll along the beach boulevard to catch a glimpse of beautiful country houses : the charming Andernosiennes.

Exploring nature…

From the oyster port, set off to discover one of the natural sites of the Arcachon Bay, the Domaine St-Brice-Les Quinconces-Le Coulin. Following the coastal path, you will have a view of the entire Bay from Pointe des Quinconces. A well-known spot among locals. Heading north, you cross the Cirès river to reach the beautiful beach of La Conche de Saint Brice in Ares.

Stroll between land and sea in Lanton

This preserved coastline amidst the pine trees encourages relaxation. For a nature-filled moment, start from the swimming area and take the coastal path to the top of the Branne of the Domaine de Certes. The view is splendid! In July and August, embark on a sea kayaking trip from the Port de Cassy to discover the maritime side of the Heart of the Bay. After these getaways it's time for a swim at Suzette Beach or the large beach of Taussat-les-Bains (swimming possible at high tide only).

Set off to discover the intertidal zone at low tide in search of cockles, crabs, and clams… Please be sure to respect the minimum sizes of the shellfish to ensure the sustainable protection of this fragile environment – size guides are available at the Tourist Office.
