The heart of the bay, from city to city

With 5 municipalities of particular charm, the heart of the bay of Arcachon is above all a territory with fragile natural spaces. Biganos, Audenge, Lanton, Mios and Marcheprime each have their own personality and we advise you to discover them. From the Certes-Graveyron estates to the Leyre delta, heart of the baybrings together all the ingredients for a real holiday !

Stroll of the Biganos harbor

Start your day with a discovery of the port and its typical huts in the middle of the forest. Venture into the flowery alleys to admire the pretty colors of the huts that border the Leyre. Then go for a walk or canoe-kayak ride on the banks of the Leyre. While advancing on the delta, you will witness the meeting between the freshwater river and the Saltwater Basin! And for oyster lovers, take a break from Antoine (oyster bar at the port) or a picnic in the shade of the trees.

Adventure on the wild coast of Audenge

Head for the eastern shore of the Arcachon Basin for a 100% natural discovery !
Enjoy a stroll in the Mesple Marsh in the company of Alexandre, nature guide, who will tell you about the flora and fauna of the marsh.
Contact the Coeur du Bassin Tourist Office to discover the secrets of the Mesple Marsh !
At mealtime, head to the oyster port of Audenge to taste some fresh oysters !
In summer, if you feel like it, you can take advantage of the seawater swimming pool, located at the entrance to the port. Ideal when the tide is low !
Extend this day with a walk through the Domaine de Certes & Graveyron.
If you look closely, you may have the chance to spot several species of birds!

At the heart of the bay, nature is queen and we are hers guests.

Walk between land and see in Lanton

This unspoiled coastline surrounded by pine trees encourages relaxation. For a natural moment, starting from the swimming pool, take the coastal path to the tip of Branne in the Certes area. The view is splendid! In July-August, go for a sea kayak outing, departing from the Port of Cassy to discover the maritime side of the Coeur du Bassin. After these escapades, place for swimming at Suzette beach or the large beach of Taussat-les-Bains (bathing possible at high tide only).

Mios and Marcheprime

For thrill seekers, Mios has something for you! Climb to the top of the trees following a tree climbing course (T en Leyre), get catapulted into a course of inflatable structures, practice water skiing using a ski lift, wakeboard or even paddle (Lakecity and Aquapark 33). It is also possible to follow the Leyre on foot or by boat.

In the evening, treat yourself with a show or a cinema screening at “La Caravelle“.
