It is classified in <strong>Nationale 2, the 4th French division and the lowest of the national competitions<\/strong>. He plays at the La Teste de Buch stadium (Stade Bonneval\/Biraben). Player Benjamin Sa, current player of the club, played in elite rugby in the <strong>Racing 92 and Union Bordeaux B\u00e8gles clubs<\/strong>. He is the father of Connor Sa, <strong>UBB hopeful player<\/strong> and loaned to the club <strong>Carcassonne in ProD2 (2nd French division)<\/strong>. In the 1940s the club was part of the <strong>French first division for a few seasons<\/strong>. <strong>Patrice Lagisquet<\/strong>, emblematic player of the France team and coach of the backs of the Blues, began his career at Gujan-Mestras. The club house located on the banks of the lake was completely burned by the fire in the summer of 2022. They play at the Clavier stadium. The rugby union club has lived in the shadow of the rugby union club (which despite its name has little to do with rugby union). They play in green and white<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-9a6f7f91 alignfull uagb-is-root-container\"><div class=\"uagb-container-inner-blocks-wrap\">\n<p>For the youngest, each club has <strong>from a rugby school.<\/strong> For cadets and juniors (-16 years and -19 years), the SBAR agreement <strong>brings together players from Arcachon, La Teste de Buch, Cazaux, Gujan-Mestras and Biganos and plays at national level in a South-West group.<\/strong> They play in black and yellow in the stadiums of each club in the agreement in rotation. For these same categories,<strong>The L\u00e8ge-Cap Ferret club is in agreement with the Pays M\u00e9doc club<\/strong> located in Lesparre and Pauillac. THE <strong>Stade Bordelais is the oldest rugby club in the southwest (1889)<\/strong> and won<strong> 7 times the French First Division championship.<\/strong> CABBG (1907) has always been the rival team of Stade Bordelais. During the transition to professional rugby in the 1990s-2000s, the club was known for being <strong>a very good team which innovated and made very effective recruitments<\/strong> (the spontaneous melee was originally nicknamed the \u201cB\u00e9glaise turtle\u201d). Jacques Chaban-Delmas was a former CABBG player.<br><br>However in 2006, <strong>the 2 clubs are forced to merge<\/strong> because the existence of these 2 clubs halves public funding and sponsors.
