Day 1
Morning: the City of Arcachon
- Criss-cross the seafront on foot or by bikeArcachon from the port to the Moulleau pier.
- Discover with a guide or by little train the Winter Town, a picturesque district with its sumptuous 19th century villas.
Afternoon: the Dune of Pilat (La Teste-de-Buch)
- Browse the Dune du Pilat over its entire length (2.7 km) returning by the beach (magnificent unmarked walking route)
- Take advantage of the free nature activities from April to September, meet at the Point Info de la dune (05 56 22 12 85)
Day 2
Morning: the oyster villages of the peninsula of Lège-Cap Ferret
By bike for a ride in the fishermen's quarter with a stop at Cap Ferret Lighthouse or even in the oyster villages Grass and Cannon…
After the effort… enjoy a few oysters with your feet in the water!
Afternoon: the tour of the Island of Birds
It is here that you will see the famous "Cabanes Tchanquées" !
Because they can go anywhere, sea kayaking is the best way to approach them up close, or by boat trip departing from Bélisaire, Canon or Grand Piquey (Lège-Cap Ferret) piers.
Day 3
Morning: Teich Ornithological Reserve
Walk in the Ornithological Reserve on a 2.5 or 6 km trail dotted with observation huts.
Self-guided or guided tour, during the day or at dusk (05 24 73 37 33)
Afternoon: the Leyre river and its delta (Le Teich, Biganos and Mios)
To be explored on foot, by bike or by canoe-kayak. But also by boat along the ports of Biganos, paddle or electric boat without a license from the port of Teich. Nice booklet! 10 ideas for nature and maritime walks available at Tourist Offices or on line.

Day 4
Morning, at dawn: participate in the sale of fish at the Criée
Every Monday and Thursday at 6:30 a.m. with a guide, at the fishing port of Arcachon (on registration: 05 57 52 97 97)
Afternoon: embark with fishermen and oyster farmers aboard their boats

Day 5
Morning: explore the Bassin on foot or by bike
- In addition to the guided walking tours offered by the Tourist Offices, you can get the topoguide “le Tour du Bassin à pied” (on sale in the Offices – €8) to discover our GR de Pays. This Bassin tour takes part of the coastal path, the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle path, the oyster ports and remarkable sites...
- Discover the cities of the Bassin thanks to a network of more than 220 km of cycle paths.

Afternoon: take the plunge
- More than 40 km of ocean beaches open to the open sea (Grand Crohot at Lège-Cap Ferret, La Lagune at La Teste de Buch, etc.). Perfect for tackling the waves!
- At the edge of Bassin ranges at high tide for the most part, or from Lake Cazaux in peace.
- In Teich, Audenge, Lanton and Arès, swimming pools are set up and monitored. Ideal when the tide is low!
Day 6
Morning: shopping
Each day, a market awaits you in one of our 10 municipalities! Shopping is also part of the holidays. Take advantage of this free time to enjoy an ice cream at the foot of one of our piers: in Arcachon, at Moulleau, at in Cap Ferret or even to Andernos les Bains (longest promenade pier in the Bassin), with its bustling town center and shops open all year round.
Afternoon: have fun in our theme and amusement parks
Gujan-Mestras Bassin des Loisirs: Aqualand, la Coccinelle, Kid Parc, Max'Golf, Bassin Adventures, Bowling, Laser Lander, Pool&spa. But also around the Bassin of Arcachon… Four Leisure Park in Lège-Cap Ferret; Escalad'Parc in Andernos-les-Bains; Karting in Biganos; the Zoo from Bassin to La Teste de Buch; City Beach at La Teste de Buch, or even T in Leyre and Lakecity in Mios.
Day 7
Morning: leave for the day on an island of fine sand in the colors of the lagoon: the Banc d'Arguin "Natural Reserve"
Play Robinson Crusoe on the Bank of Arguin under the watchful eye of the SEPANSO guards (WE June and September and every day in July-August)
Note: part of the bench is not accessible to the public (high ornithological site).
Afternoon: or get off the beaten track with a nature walk:
- At the heart of the salt marshes and meadows of La Teste de Buch, in the Certainly-Graveyron domains in Audenge and Lanton, in Saint-Brice Les Quinconces in Andernos-les-Bains and Arès, in the Salt meadows reserve of Arès-Lège, in the Piraillan Reservoirs on the peninsula.
- Crab fishing on the port of Audenge in the Heart of Bassin, and on the beach of the Andernos pier.
