A young river from a geological point of view, the Leyre carries sand, which accumulates in its meanders. Canoeing offers a gentle way to discover this rich and fragile natural area.
This walk takes you through the natural transition from gallery forest to the mosaic of open Delta environments, between Mios, the starting point, and Le Teich, the finishing point.
This stretch of river is subject to the influences of the tide, which can slow the smooth current that carries you along.
All canoeists must know how to swim before they canoe. This activity is open to children aged 6 and over who can swim, accompanied by their parents. We recommend that you contact the local canoe hire companies beforehand.
