Bassin Beaches - Les Jacquets/Grand Piquey

This 7km walk takes you through the oyster-farming villages of Petit Piquey and Grand Piquey, skirting the shores of the Arcachon Bassin. The route alternates between wild beaches and shady paths, offering total immersion in the authenticity of the Presqu'île. Some sections are on sand, which can make the walk more physical, especially at high tide. Not accessible to pushchairs due to the natural terrain.
Along the way, you'll come across oyster-farming huts where you'll want to take a break for a tasting session in front of the Bassin. From the beach at Anse de Grand Piquey, the view of the Dune du Pilat and the Banc d'Arguin is breathtaking. A peaceful stroll, ideal for appreciating the discreet charm of the coastline and the rich oyster-farming heritage.
