A weekend with friends on the Bassin!

Friends first !

Diane, Marie, Victoria, Perrine, Jade and Guillaume come together to 3 days on the Bassin of Arcachon. They used to meet once a year, to tell each other their life and their new projects, since they left to study in the four corners of France. In the early evening, after their busy week, they finally arrive at their villa in Pyla-sur-Mer. The joy of seeing each other again, in their native region, does them a world of good, the weekend can begin!

Day 1: Boat day

9:30 a.m.:
The friends planned to enjoy the sun and the sea air who they miss so much while spending their first day on the boat. They are going to Arcachon to recover the picnic prepared by Valentin from a delicatessen which offers many local products.

10:30 a.m.:

Arrived at the port of Arcachon under a beautiful sun, the warmly dressed friends embark on a typical pinnace from Bassin direction lthe Cabins on Tchanquées on the Ile aux Oiseaux. These traditional cabins built of wood perched on stilts stand proudly. They were used at the time to monitor the oyster beds and are now accessible by sea kayaking or during boat trips.

The walk continues on along the oyster villages of Lège – Cap Ferret. The temptation is great to stop for eat oysters but the tasting is scheduled for another day and valentine's picnic awaits them.

12 p.m.:
The friends unpack the basket filled with local products: mackerel and salmon rillettes, cold meats and cheeses, sandwiches, biscuits, all wrapped in biodegradable tableware. A delight!

2 p.m.:
Satisfied, Diane, Marie, Victoria, Perrine, Jade and Guillaume then head to Cap Ferret and dock the pinnace at the Bélisaire pier which is located near restaurants and shops. Once on land, they stroll through the streets, there aren't many people, it's pleasant, it's warmer than at sea! They then go to the foot of the Cape lighthouse. They know the view from the top is breathtaking but that will be for another time.

6 p.m.:
Back on the boat, the sun begins to set and he prepares a Magnificent sunset. The friends toast to their reunion and to this beautiful day spent together while looking forward to the activities of the next day.

Day 2: Surfing and golf

9 a.m.:
The appointment is made on South Salie beach, A French surf spot located in the town of La Teste de Buch. On this beach, the waves depend sandbanks and baïnes that form and move with the sandstone currents. The weather is sunny but it is cold and very windy. Despite this, everyone is very motivated! surf teachers, Paul and his wife Orianne arrive and prepare the equipment. The enthusiasm is perceptible.

9:40 a.m.:
Slipped wetsuits and salvaged boards, the lesson can begin! Paul begins with a warming up, then he takes a moment to check the conditions and the waves. The waves are not scary but the few novices are reassured because it's their first lesson.

10 a.m.:
After a few tries and a few falls, everyone succeeds to get up on his board, and even the most cautious take insurance. The lesson ends and the friends struggle to get out of the water, they feel so good sharing this moment together.

4:30 p.m.:
For this new activity, only girls are involved. Diane, Jade, Marie and Victoria arrive at the golf course. They settle down at the driving range to type
a few bullets. Diane, the only one with notions of golf, guides her friends and they quickly get into the game. The technique is a bit laborious but the giggles are there. The setting is very beautiful, the golf course is high up on a dune which offers a magnificent view of the sea and Arcachon.

6 p.m.:
The sports day is rewarded with a pizza evening on the Dune du Pilat. Guillaume takes care of picking up the order and joins the girls for a timeless moment facing the sunset.

Day 3: Paddle, canoe and yoga

10 a.m.:
The friends meet at the surf school cabin, located in Arbousiers. This time, it is Orianne who gives the paddle lessons. Everyone manages very quickly to stand up. Orianne explains small exercises to them to learn to turn or turn around. The landscape is pleasant, the low tide allows you to see the sandbank completely uncovered.

The paddle ride over, the friends decide to try the canoe. The canoe trip respects nature because navigation is done with the help of winds and currents. It's a canoe that comes directly from Hawaii, it welcomes both adults and children because it is very stable, unsinkable and
spacious. It's a team sport that requires good communication and a lot of coordination. The six friends thank Paul and Orianne, they are real board sports enthusiasts.

12 p.m.:
In their minds for two days, the oysters are waiting for them at the port of La Teste. Gourmets compose a real seafood platter that they will taste at the Villa.

3 p.m.:
It's time for yoga class at home with Gloria. This course is a unique moment of well-being for each of them. It's nice and warm in the sun with a pleasant sound of wind in the pines. Gloria takes great pleasure in doing this course and passing it on to them emotion and energy. When they leave this session, they feel less stressed, soothed, as if liberated.

8 p.m.:
The friends gather in the common room one last time. Natasha, home chef, prepares a tasty citrus mullet tartare for them at the Villa. They are already looking forward to seeing each other again next year. The weekend is coming to an end. Diane, Marie, Victoria, Perrine, Jade and Guillaume go to bed with all their memories in mind.
