Set off on an adventure along this 5 km walk, ideal for families, with no signposts or markings – you’ll be guided by Jean, the «local storyteller».
Join him on a journey to discover Arcachon’s Bassin like never before, as he knows it inside out and loves it dearly.
The Leyre, nicknamed the «Little Amazon», winds its way through the Landes forest before flowing into the Bassin. Its banks offer an exceptional natural environment, where you’ll find yourself immersed in the heart of a lush forest, rich in diverse wild flora.
As you walk, you’ll follow a historic trail once travelled by pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.
Take a break to listen to Jean as he recounts the stories and mysteries surrounding this iconic path.
Come and enjoy a unique experience, combining nature, culture and a warm, friendly atmosphere, in the heart of an enchanting landscape.
