Van Gogh saw it as a land of fire; Cézanne, a silent architecture; Nicolas de Staël, an abstraction nourished by light. This talk offers a journey through the eyes of artists who have reinvented the South, between reverie, modernity and pictorial quest. Between real landscapes and those of the soul, the Midi becomes much more than a setting: it becomes an open-air studio, an inexhaustible source of inspiration and artistic renewal.
