Description
As well as its spectacular panorama, the Grand Site de la Dune du Pilat is also a veritable natural and heritage archive. This listed natural site preserves traces of many periods in history.
The archaeological digs carried out over the years have revealed invaluable evidence about the Pays de Buch, its inhabitants and their way of life, from the earliest human settlements to prehistoric times. All these discoveries help us to better understand the history of this exceptional landscape.
