This year again, take advantage of the Christmas markets and events at the Bassin in Arcachon!
Arcachon
From 13 December to 4 January 2026
– Saturday December 14 at 2:30 p.m. on the beach to the left of the Thiers jetty, meet for several activities: Christmas swims for the benefit of the telethon and arrival of Santa Claus in a sailing boat. Christmas swim for the benefit of the Telethon: registrations on the same day from 1:30 p.m. to the left of the Thiers jetty – medical certificate required.
– Fairytale village on the Place des Marquises: sweet and savory treats, must-try Christmas drinks. Sale of Christmas trees and entertainment in the afternoon.
– Chalet Gourmand at Place Thiers!
– Santa Claus will be present for a magical encounter every day according to the following times:
• Saturday 13 December : 3.30pm to 8pm
• Sunday 14 December : 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
• Wednesday 17 December : 2pm to 7pm
• From 20 to 23 December : 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
• Tuesday 24 December : 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
- A torchlight descent is also planned on Saturday 20 December departing from the Parc Mauresque bandstand at 6.30pm.
- Shows for all in Place des Marquises, Olympia, rue Gambetta and rue de Lattre de Tassigny, arts courses, creative arts workshops and karaoke at the Maison des Jeunes, concerts and shows at the MA.AT and Aiguillon celebrates Christmas with the Aiguillon Traders Association!

– Christmas Village: More than 20 chalets to find original gift ideas from local craftsmen and designers, sample seasonal specialities and share warm, gourmet moments.
Open every day from 2pm to 9pm, Place Gambetta - with two fireworks displays on 13 December and 3 January at 7pm.

- Rendezvous at the Port ostreicole de La Teste at 2pm: Father Christmas disembarks in a sailing ferry, before taking a horse-drawn carriage to the Christmas Village, accompanied by dancing entertainment from Danza Family! DJ set by Balap from 6pm to 10pm to kick off the festivities. Don't miss the fireworks display from the square at 7pm!

Saturday 13 December - 10am to 9pm
10h - The Village opens with a choir and the joyful voices of children from the town's leisure and after-school care centres, who will be ringing in the magic of Christmas!
10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Immerse yourself in «La Fabrique des Lutins», a world of imagination with creative activities put on by the leisure centres, after-school services and the Espace Jeunes du Teich - Salle Publique:
- Workshops to make decorations and wood pyrography by the Espace Jeunes,
- A treasure hunt, enchanting face painting and souvenir photos in a setting created by the town's Accueils de Loisirs,
- Take-home Christmas decorating workshop run by the town's extracurricular services,
- Participatory fresco by the town's extracurricular services,
- An area dedicated to writing letters to Father Christmas and a reading corner for a gentle interlude by the town's extracurricular services.
4pm to 7pm - Father Christmas will make an appearance to meet the children and capture this magical moment.
15h30 - Weighing of the Mystery Gift, followed at 4.15pm by the announcement of the winner and presentation of the gift by the Mayor.
16h30 - Participatory decoration of the big fir tree
16h50 - The official launch of the Christmas lights, a magical moment shared with the Mayor.
17h - Musical performance by the Harmonie du Teich.
Sunday 14 December - 10am to 7pm
10 a.m. to 7 p.m. In the Salle Publique, the parents' association will be offering a day of fun and entertainment:
- Face painting, duck fishing and greetings card making,
- Sale of popcorn and Christmas decorations created by the children of Val des Pins nursery school.
2pm to 4pm Horse-drawn carriage rides for an enchanted stroll through the heart of the town.
3pm to 6pm Father Christmas will once again be on hand to delight the little ones.
19h - Village closure
All weekend
- Free merry-go-round for children,
- Hot and cold drinks from La P'tite Pinte,
- Catering provided by the Comité des fêtes.
- The Place du Souvenir will play host to a dozen or so passionate exhibitors, craftspeople and designers, who will be on hand to share their expertise and seasonal treasures. It's the perfect opportunity to find unique, local gifts to slip under the Christmas tree or enjoy on the spot.
